Police Uncover Illegal Drug Trafficking Case
On May 3, information regarding illegal drug trafficking was received at the Kumayri community police division. A resident of Panayan Street was reported to be keeping marijuana in the backyard of his home.
On the same day, police detectives and community officers inspected the backyard of the 67-year-old man's house, discovering over 12 grams of a substance resembling marijuana, which was seized by the authorities.
The man claimed the substance was his and that he had prepared it by grinding and drying the cannabis grown in his backyard. A forensic chemical examination has been ordered. Investigations are ongoing.
