Armenian Food Safety Authority Temporarily Suspends Distribution of Ceftronus Due to Quality Nonconformity

The Armenian Food Safety Authority has mandated a temporary halt to the distribution of the drug "Ceftronus Ceftriaxone (Ceftriaxone Sodium) Powder for Injection 1000 mg, 25 Glass Vials" following the identification of quality nonconformity during an inspection of batch 306633, which has an expiration date of October 31, 2023.

This information was reported by the Food Safety Inspectorate. Considering the requirements set forth in the annex of the Regulation No. 755-L adopted by the Prime Minister of Armenia on June 11, 2018, the head of the inspectorate has issued an order to the importing company "TONUS-LES" LLC to temporarily suspend the distribution of this batch of Ceftronus until the results of additional inspections are completed.

The orders were issued based on the expert conclusion from the Ministry of Health of Armenia’s "Academician E. Gabrielian Center for Expert Evaluation of Medicines and Medical Technologies" LLC, as reported by the Food Safety Inspectorate.
