Which Vaccine Has Been Recognized as the Best at the Global Congress?

The coronavirus vaccine developed by Moderna, founded by Noubar Afeyan, has been recognized as the best in the world by experts at the 2021 Global Congress on Vaccines. This vaccine has surpassed 'Sputnik V', as well as the vaccines from Pfizer/BioNTech and AstraZeneca. The criteria for the selection have not been clarified.

According to RBC, the shortlist for the 'Best Vaccine Against COVID' also included Russia's 'Sputnik V', the American Janssen, Novavax, Canada's Medicago, the British-Swedish AstraZeneca, Pfizer/BioNTech, India's Bharat Biotech, and animal vaccine Zoetis. The Pfizer and BioNTech vaccine received a fairly high rating.

Experts also chose Moderna in the category of 'Most Innovative New Technology/Vaccine Platform'.
