In Armenia, the Most Children Are Born to Khachatryans and Grigoryans: Statistics

In Armenia, children are most frequently born into the families of Khachatryan, Grigoryan, Hovhannisyan, Harutyunyan, and Sargsyan. According to the publication from the Statistical Committee, out of 17,299 girls born in 2020, 512 are named Grigoryan, 474 Sargsyan, and 466 Khachatryan.

The least number of girls were born into the families of Aleksanyan, Matevosyan, Ayvazyan, Nersisyan, and Safaryan.

Last year, of the 19,053 boys born, 563 are Khachatryan, 561 Grigoryan, 541 Harutyunyan, and 535 Sargsyan. According to the data published by the Committee, comparatively few boys were born into the families of Barskyan, Badalyan, Torosyan, and Antonyan.
