I am confident that the issue of prisoners' return will be resolved soon: Lavrov
Russia is confident that it will soon find a solution to the issue of Armenian prisoners held in Azerbaijan. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during a meeting with the acting Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan.
Lavrov noted that Russia, together with the other co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, France and the USA, continues to advocate for the resolution of all humanitarian issues, including the return of detained persons.
“We understand the symbolic and emotional significance of this step and are confident that we will be able to resolve this issue soon. It will create a positive, constructive atmosphere to advance the final resolution of all other issues. We will support the resolution of these issues in all formats and, of course, will promote the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group to create the most favorable environment for resolving the remaining issues,” said the Russian foreign minister.
