62-Year-Old Man Stabs Homeowner in Nalbandyan Village; Charges Filed by Investigative Committee

The Investigative Committee of Armenia has reported that an extensive investigation in the Ararat region has revealed and substantiated the following details: On January 3, 2021, around 15:00, a 62-year-old resident of Ararat region engaged in an argument with the homeowner and his son regarding domestic issues in front of a house in Nalbandyan village.

During the dispute, the man intentionally stabbed the homeowner in the abdominal area with a knife, causing severe life-threatening injuries. Sufficient evidence was gathered, leading to charges being filed against the suspect.

A signature prohibiting him from leaving has been chosen as a preventive measure. The preliminary investigation has been completed, and the criminal case has been forwarded to the court with an accusatory conclusion.

Notice: The suspect or accused of the alleged crime is considered innocent until proven guilty in accordance with the procedures established by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia, by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
