In One Day, 3780 Cases: New Record for COVID-19 Deaths in India

In the last 24 hours, India has registered a new record for daily fatalities due to the coronavirus disease. A total of 3780 infected individuals have died. This was reported by the Times of India, citing data from the country's Ministry of Health.

It is noted that the total number of deaths related to COVID-19 in the country has reached 226,188. Furthermore, the number of new COVID-19 cases in India has begun to rise after a three-day decline, with 382,300 cases detected in the past day—25,000 more than the previous day.

For the second consecutive week, the number of daily cases has exceeded the 300,000 threshold, which is significantly higher than in any other country worldwide.

It is also worth mentioning that India had previously announced the launch of vaccinations using the Russian “Sputnik V” coronavirus vaccine. The country has already received the first batch of vaccines, and local hospitals have received the second batch.
