Hotel Owner and Employee Accused of Facilitating Prostitution: Investigation Committee
The investigation into a case of facilitating prostitution has been completed by the regional investigative department of the Armenian Investigative Committee in the Armavir province.
It has been revealed during the investigation that the owner of a hotel in Echmiadzin, in collaboration with an employee of his establishment, provided rooms in the hotel as accommodations for sex workers from 2017 to 2020, with the aim of gaining financial benefits, thereby facilitating their engagement in prostitution.
Based on the collected sufficient evidence, charges have been brought against both the hotel owner and the employee. Preventative measures have been chosen for them, including a signature not to leave.
The preliminary investigation has been completed, and the criminal case has been forwarded to the court with an indictment.
