Video: Young Man Found with 'Makarov' Gun Brought from Artsakh

As part of the preventive measure "Arsenal-2021," operational activities conducted by the law enforcement officers of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Erebuni police resulted in information regarding a 23-year-old young man residing in Yerevan who unlawfully possessed firearms.

According to the police, this information was acted upon on the evening of May 1. The suspect was located on Daniel Varujan street in the capital and was brought to the Erebuni police station for questioning. During a personal search, a factory-numbered 'Makarov' pistol and 9 mm caliber cartridges were discovered.

Preliminary data indicates that the pistol was brought from Artsakh last year. A forensic examination has been appointed, and the circumstances are being clarified.
