VIDEO: Illegal Drug Trafficking Case Uncovered; Drugs Purchased via Telegram App

Police in Vayk have uncovered another case of illegal drug possession and use. According to the police, around 2:30 AM, detectives detained a 23-year-old man from Yerevan, along with an 18-year-old passenger from Charentsavan, while they were traveling in an Opel Astra on the Jermuk highway in Vayk.

During a personal search of the 23-year-old, a polyethylene bag containing dried, crushed, cannabis-like substance with a distinctive odor was found, along with a brown substance in a droplet bottle. A search of the vehicle revealed cannabis-like plant material wrapped in paper packets and a brown substance with a strong chocolate scent packaged in aluminum foil. The substances found in the vehicle belonged to the 18-year-old passenger.

It was determined that the brown substance was purchased through the Telegram app on the young man's mobile phone. A criminal case has been opened regarding the incident, and examinations have been ordered.
