VIDEO: Armenian Engineers' 3D Glasses Ahead of Current World Standards
Within the framework of the 17th program aimed at neutralizing the economic impacts of the coronavirus, implemented by the Ministry of High Technology Industry of Armenia, there is no shortage of innovative and unique ideas. The ministry has reported that a new generation of Armenian scientists is presenting numerous interesting projects with their ideas and production solutions.
Among the winning projects of the grants for established companies is '10X Engineering.' Utilizing VR technology, the engineering team of the company has developed three-dimensional 3D glasses that allow a person's visual and auditory senses to be transported into a virtual world, resulting in reduced pain and stress levels in medical researches or other stressful situations.
The author of the idea is the company's director, David Zargaryan. He notes that every idea is born out of confronting a problem. This project stemmed from a personal issue when his child developed a phobia towards doctors and injections.
Similar devices exist worldwide, but the Armenian model is several steps ahead of existing ones, as the content developed by Armenian engineers takes into account each individual's uniqueness, including their ethnicity, age, preferences, sensitivity to various phenomena, taste, and other characteristics.
In the framework of the 17th program, the company's primary objective is to conduct serious scientific research work. The product's initial testing is scheduled for six months later at 'Wigmore Clinic.' After passing the tests, the company will provide the devices to Armenian medical institutions free of charge. The cost of granting a license outside of Armenia will be around 1,000 euros.
With the received grant, the engineer-scientists also plan to publish an article in one of the world's leading scientific journals, scientifically proving that this developed model is the most effective compared to similar products already available worldwide.
Contracts have already been signed with 61 organizations that won grants in the framework of the 17th program aimed at neutralizing the economic impacts of the coronavirus, and the funds have been transferred to the organizations' accounts. The total amount allocated has reached 967,871,345 AMD.
