Search Operations for Fallen Soldiers' Remains Continue in the Varanda Region

Search operations for the remains of soldiers and civilians who died or are considered missing during military operations are continuing on May 3 with one rescue team in the Varanda (Fizuli) region. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Artsakh.

Since November 13, 2020, rescuers from Artsakh have discovered and evacuated 1,552 remains from areas that have come under Azerbaijani control. During the search operations, there have been periodic exchanges of remains between the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides.
