Post-2018 Military Perceptions Remain Beyond Sweaters and Outlets, Expert
Expert Karen Hovhannisyan wrote on his Facebook page: "When they say that for thirty years they stole, for thirty years they stole from the army, and that's why this government lost (the nation did not lose), I see again manipulation, I see again the use of technologies. It became clear after 2016 that we had to fight against UAVs, and what did we do to counter that? By 'we,' I mean the state. We did nothing.
Post-2018 perceptions of the military have not gone beyond sweaters and outlets. If there had been targeted procurement of the right weapons, events could have developed differently. Yes, for thirty years some have taken advantage of the powers given to them and enriched themselves at the expense of the army, but was this proven, or is it still just rumors hanging in the air?
From now on, anyone who says the army has been plundered, I will say, let's bring at least one example of someone who has been prosecuted for that plunder. What kind of government has not existed, consuming each other behind the scenes and even in public, yet no one has brought anyone forward and said, 'this person has stolen, therefore we condemn them to execution.' If there had been a proper foreign policy, there would not have been a war; it would have been postponed indefinitely, until a time when we would be ready on both the diplomatic and military fronts. If the emphasis had been on the right armament, we would not have suffered such losses, nor would there have been a demand for that infamous document. There is much to say, but…"
