Identity of Victims and Drivers Revealed in Accident-Pedestrian Incident in Ararat Region

Within the framework of a criminal case launched by the Investigative Committee of Armenia, the identities of the victims and drivers involved in the accident-pedestrian incident in the Ararat region on May 2 have been established.

According to Shamshyan.com, the Ford Transit was driven by 26-year-old Manuk M. from the village of Azatavank in the Ararat region, while the VAZ 21099 was driven by 37-year-old Arman A. from the village of Baghramyan. The victims of the pedestrian incident are 53-year-old Anahit E. and 60-year-old Anushik K., both residents of Baghramyan village.

After the incident, the driver of the Ford Transit, Manuk M., voluntarily presented himself to the Ararat police department shortly after the accident.

It should be noted that a tragic incident occurred in the Ararat region on May 2. Between 21:00 and 21:30, on the section of the inter-community road from Yerevan to Artashat leading to the village of Baghramyan, a Ford Transit vehicle collided with a VAZ 21099 vehicle, then veered into the opposite lane, broke an iron electricity pole, and continued forward, hitting two female pedestrians. The victims of the pedestrian incident died at the scene.
