Direct Flights Between Armenia and Kazakhstan Could Resume

Acting Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bolat Imanbaev today. The information is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy.

During the meeting, Kerobyan emphasized the dynamic development of Armenian-Kazakh trade and economic cooperation. He expressed confidence that the cooperation between the two countries holds significant potential for activation and development. Several sectors of cooperation were highlighted, including trade, high technologies, solar panel production, jewelry manufacturing, and agriculture.

“The prospects for cooperation between advanced companies operating in the high technology sector in both countries were discussed, and opportunities for organizing joint meetings and business forums to strengthen and expand these relations were identified,” the statement said.

Kerobyan also addressed logistical issues that hinder the rapid development of trade and economic relations. According to the ambassador, during political consultations between Armenia and Kazakhstan, the reopening of the direct flight route from Yerevan to Nur-Sultan and back was mutually emphasized. In this context, establishing a wholesale logistics center in Armenia can be considered.

The interlocutors agreed to promote effective and active cooperation between the two countries within their respective mandates.
