Attempts to Break the Spirit of the Fight for the Homeland's Salvation: Announcement by the ARF Bureau
The acting Prime Minister of Armenia is openly attempting to direct the prosecution and investigative bodies through illegal orders, targeting political opponents. This is stated in a recent announcement by the ARF Bureau.
"In recent days, abuses by law enforcement agencies in Armenia have gained new momentum. The voices of dignified citizens protesting are being tried to be silenced through the brutal use of police force, arrests, and the initiation of fabricated criminal cases.
It is evident that the actions of law enforcement agencies are directly dictated by the current authorities. The acting Prime Minister is openly trying to direct the prosecution and investigative bodies through illegal orders, specifically targeting political opponents.
The leaders, members, and supporters of the ARF in Armenia are particularly under the threat of political persecution. Through violence and political prosecution, there is an attempt to break the spirit of the fight for the salvation of the homeland.
This behavior highlights the political crisis faced by the current authorities. The unleashed repression will only deepen that crisis.
We express our full support to the citizens raising the flag of the fight for the homeland and dignity, and we urge the authorities and their coercive structures to remain within the framework of law and legality. We remind that on the path of liberating the homeland and the nation, and creating conditions for a free and dignified life for the Armenian person and citizen in Armenia, the ARF is not afraid of any pressure. The evidence lies in the 130-year history of the ARF."
