Father of Captured Soldier Spoke with Son Over Phone Five Days Ago for Five Minutes

The father of one of the soldiers captured in Azerbaijan after the war from Khtzaberd informed "Factinfo" today that they had a phone conversation with his son held in Azerbaijan five days ago. They managed to establish contact through the ICRC.

“We spoke for about 5-6 minutes and that was it. He said he was feeling well. We heard his voice, on one hand, we felt that he was okay, alive, but on the other hand, until he comes back, we won’t know what will happen,” he stated.

The father of the captured soldier also added that they still do not know the exact status of those held captive in Azerbaijan. “One side says they are not prisoners of war, they are terrorists, while the other side says their cases have been removed— we don’t understand anything because our government has always lied to us.”

Currently, they are collectively appealing to the 30 countries of the world to take immediate action to bring back those held captive in Azerbaijan.
