Criminal Case Initiated Following Discovery of Human Skull in Kaputan

On April 28, 2021, a human skull with multiple injuries was discovered in a field area at the end of the village of Kaputan in the Kotayk region, accompanied by the decomposed body of a man covered by a layer of soil nearby.

Considering that there are legal grounds and circumstances for initiating a criminal case based on the prepared materials, the Investigative Committee of Armenia's Kotayk regional investigative department in Abovyan has launched a criminal case characterized by murder.

Necessary investigative and procedural actions are being carried out to identify the deceased and ensure an objective investigation. Forensic medical and genetic examinations have been appointed. A preliminary investigation is underway.
