Turkish Goods Enter Through Indirect Channels: Kerobyan
After the government meeting, acting Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan told reporters that the issue of opening the border with Turkey is currently not on the agenda.
“We will extend the ban on the import of Turkish goods. It seems that we will also increase the sales ban; regardless of when the goods were imported, we will similarly restrict sales,” said Kerobyan, explaining that certain indirect channels are being used to introduce Turkish products.
“The approach here should be quite symmetric. When a decision is made at the political level to restore symmetric relations, we will then try to ensure that our economy is as well protected as possible from the influx of Turkish goods,” declared Vahan Kerobyan.
