The War is Not Over Yet: Sasun Mikayelyan
The Luminary Armenia party has introduced a proposal aimed at enhancing the military-industrial complex and utilizing the country's scientific potential for the benefit of the army.
The project envisions the establishment of a scientific center associated with the military-industrial complex, which will conduct research programs in collaboration with accredited higher education institutions in Armenia, addressing the needs of the army and the state.
Citizens who enroll in universities at the undergraduate level and sign a contract to utilize their scientific capabilities for the army will be granted postponements from military service. Subsequently, they will pursue postgraduate studies or doctoral programs in institutions where their scientific work will relate to the specific needs of the army or other state bodies.
According to Sasun Mikayelyan, we are always falling behind and need to create something new: “The war is not over yet; we must be able to achieve results urgently. This is a concern for the future. We need to be able to open specialized courses in military academies to succeed.”
He stated that while we have military-industrial enterprises, they did not yield results in this war. Mikayelyan is generally not opposed to the LHK's proposal.
