In the Summer of '92, We Not Only Straightened Our Backs but Also Broke the Enemy’s Spine: Hasratyan
Senior Hasratyan, the former spokesman of the Artsakh Defense Army, stated on his Facebook page: “Do you know what inspires me with hope for our tomorrow? First of all, it is the reality that alongside the disheartened individuals living around us, who constantly complain about past leaders, overestimate the capabilities of the enemy, bow their heads before the Turk, and subordinate the sovereignty and dignity of our country to their narrow personal interests, we are increasingly witnessing a growing number of compatriots who, after all the calamities that have befallen our nation, manage to find strength within themselves and continue to oppose the mentality of defeat with the will to fight. Today, albeit slowly, this development exists and is increasingly endowing our progress with greater self-confidence and the desire to reclaim what is ours... We must collectively do this, and undoubtedly, we will, especially since we have no other option...
P.S. We have found ourselves in such situations multiple times in our history, and one of the most recent examples of this was the brutal summer of 1992, when we lost half of Artsakh... Thanks to the unification of national efforts and proper management, we not only straightened our backs but were also able to break the spine of the opponent and look proudly at the world for as long as we believed in real deeds rather than pleasing words... It is only by believing and acting that we can grow strong and win...”
