First COVID-19 Death Recorded in Artsakh in the Last 6 Months
On April 28, 70 tests were conducted, resulting in 3 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Artsakh. The infected individuals are contacts of previously confirmed clusters, according to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh.
Unfortunately, there is one death reported, which is the first in the last six months. The patient was a 60-year-old woman who died due to complications from COVID-19.
Currently, 28 infected individuals are receiving inpatient treatment, while those with mild cases are being treated at home.
In 2021, a total of 6,405 citizens were tested for the laboratory detection of coronavirus, with 780 positive results recorded. Overall, the Republic of Artsakh has confirmed 2,664 cases of COVID-19 out of 23,860 tests conducted.
The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh once again urges the public to adhere to guidelines to avoid new outbreaks and to overcome the coronavirus infection as soon as possible.
According to the relevant orders of the Minister of Health, vaccinations against COVID-19 are being conducted at the outpatient-polyclinic department of the Republican Medical Center LLC, the Arevik medical organization, and regional medical organizations.
