On April 28, Tigran Avinyan, Acting Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, was vaccinated against the coronavirus using the AstraZeneca vaccine at the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia.
After the vaccination, in an interview with journalists, Tigran Avinyan urged the public not to succumb to informational manipulations and false news and to regard vaccination as a necessary measure to prevent the pandemic. He noted that his vaccination with AstraZeneca was due to the fact that there is the most misinformation circulating about this vaccine.
The Acting Deputy Prime Minister assured that all possibilities for vaccination are currently available in the Republic of Armenia. In this context, Tigran Avinyan emphasized the importance of changing public attitudes towards vaccines, stressing that they have a significant impact on preventing the pandemic.
The acting Deputy Prime Minister's vaccination took place as part of the "Public Figures Awareness Week" program, which calls on citizens to get vaccinated to contribute to preventing the spread of the virus.
