Arthur Vanetsyan Summoned for Interrogation
Arthur Vanetsyan, the former director of the National Security Service and leader of the Hayrenik party, has been summoned for interrogation by the Military Investigation Department of the RA Investigative Committee. This information was confirmed to NEWS.am by Vanetsyan's lawyer, Lusine Sahakyan.
The lawyer stated that Vanetsyan has been invited to provide explanations in connection with the alleged act of desertion, within the framework of preliminary material preparations. Lusine Sahakyan did not elaborate on what explanation Vanetsyan provided, saying, 'The existence of that incident has been denied.'
Regarding the abandonment of positions in Shushi, there have been public denials by individuals aware of whether such an incident occurred or not. It is clear that this is a continuation of political persecution, and if legal proceedings are initiated, the opening of a criminal case should be dismissed,” stated lawyer Sahakyan.
