Armenia to Import Chinese 'Sinovac' Produced 'CoronaVac' Vaccine Against COVID-19
In the near future, Armenia will import the 'CoronaVac' vaccine produced by the Chinese company Sinovac to combat the coronavirus disease. This announcement was made today during a press conference by Gayane Sahakyan, the deputy director of the Ministry of Health's Center for Disease Control and head of the immunization program.
Armenia will also acquire vaccines through the COVAX Facility platform. According to Sahakyan, the coronavirus situation in Armenia continues to remain steadily tense.
As of April 28 at 11:00 AM, a total of 214,872 cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed in the country, with 196,289 patients having recovered and 4,071 deaths recorded. Currently, there are 13,503 patients receiving treatment for the disease.
In total, 974,776 tests have been conducted. Thus, on the previous day, 4,807 tests were administered, leading to the establishment of 808 new COVID-19 cases. There have been 588 recoveries and 13 new deaths reported.
