Yerevan Prosecutor Slaps Deputy Prosecutor General Gevorg Baghdasaryan, Who is Prosecutor in Kocharian Case
The prosecutor's office is on the brink of moral degradation. Disagreements within this law enforcement structure cannot be resolved legally, leading to physical confrontations. Recently, two prosecutors have been assaulted.
According to ArmLur.am, an incident occurred between prosecutors recently. Yerevan Prosecutor Sevak Hovhannisyan slapped Deputy Prosecutor General Gevorg Baghdasaryan. Sources indicate that the cause of the dispute was a problem related to an employee at the Yerevan Prosecutor's Office.
Baghdasaryan, a former Yerevan prosecutor, is considered a close associate of Armenia's Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan. The current prosecutor of Yerevan is also a relative of Baghdasaryan. They have started to understand each other better.
But this is not the end of the story. The outlet has also learned that recently, the Head of the Investigative Department of Gegharkunik Province, Karapet Hambardzumyan, had a conversation with the Gegharkunik Province Prosecutor Rafael Yeritsyan, after which the head of the investigative department and the prosecutor couldn't come to an understanding, resulting in the investigative head hitting the provincial prosecutor.
