Insults in Syunik were directed at the police, says Hovik Aghazaryan
In Syunik, there are people who express their grievances with sincere motivations, not driven by any political goals. During the events in Syunik, many truly came to participate and express their dissatisfaction, albeit silently, with their looks and presence.
According to Tert.am, Hovik Aghazaryan, a member of the 'My Step' faction, stated this during a conversation with journalists.
"For example, we see a couple of hooligans on the street behaving in a manner unbefitting a political figure, and there are law enforcement officers present who will resolve the issues. The insults directed at law enforcement officers present at the scene were primarily aimed at the police," he said.
Aghazaryan also mentioned that there are individuals in Syunik who are genuinely concerned about the situation, but there are also those who exploit this and exhibit improper behavior. He stressed that the authorities should respond to these behaviors.
"There are security issues along the entire border of our homeland, as we know the countries that surround us and the geopolitical realities we live in. We need to solve today’s problems today, so that we do not face these issues tomorrow," he noted.
The deputy also touched upon the upcoming snap elections, stating that they will reflect the situation and ultimately we will see what solutions will arise, as long as one does not claim that the elections are rigged.
He emphasized that they cannot form a coalition, for example, with the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK). "We cannot create a coalition with forces under the influence of Serzh Sargsyan and Robert Kocharyan. Speaking of the opposition, I personally would not want to form a coalition with BHK, as BHK is a bourgeois party," Aghazaryan said.
