Health Minister to Get Vaccinated with AstraZeneca

The Minister of Health of Armenia, Anahit Avanesyan, will publicly receive the coronavirus vaccine on April 28. According to information from the ministry, Avanesyan will be vaccinated with the AstraZeneca vaccine.

The minister will be vaccinated at the 'Reference Laboratory Center' of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Armenia.

AstraZeneca vaccinations in Armenia are intended for all risk groups, specifically individuals aged 55 and older, as per the minister's decree No. 436-A dated February 15, 2021. However, a recent amendment has allowed for vaccination with AstraZeneca for individuals aged 18 and older, based on availability and on a voluntary basis.

Vaccinations with Sputnik V are planned for individuals in at-risk groups, particularly healthcare workers, chronic patients, and residents and staff of social care centers aged 18 to 54.
