Malkhas Amoyan Wins Silver Medal at European Wrestling Championship
Malkhas Amoyan, a Greco-Roman wrestler competing in the 72 kg weight category, faced a disappointing defeat in the final match against Georgia's Shmagi Bolkvadze during the European Championship taking place in Poland, finishing as a silver medalist. Our wrestler lost with a score of 1-4.
Meanwhile, in the 87 kg category, Karapet Chalyan competed for a bronze medal against Georgia's Aivengo Rikadze but also suffered a defeat with a score of 2-3. Chalyan, who had already secured his participation in the Tokyo Olympic Games, was unable to win a medal in the current European Championship.
It is worth mentioning that Amoyan had previously won against Maxim Yevtushenko with a score of 5-0 in the quarterfinals and achieved a victory over Poland's Roman Pachurkowski with a score of 6-0 in the semifinals.
