Dramatic Car Accident in Ararat Region: Vehicle Crashes into Bridge Supports

On April 25, a significant and dramatic car accident occurred in the Ararat region. Around 20:10, a VAZ-2106 vehicle left the roadway under unclear circumstances on the 2.5 km stretch of the Masis-Noramarg highway. It collided with the supports of a bridge and ended up overturned on the iron railings of the bridge.

According to reports from shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, one individual was transported with injuries to the 'Erebuni' medical center. Bystanders and doctors from Masis Hospital were the first to provide assistance to the injured.

Officers from the 2nd platoon of the 1st company of the Road Police, under the command of Captain Grigor Poghosyan and Sergeant Karapet Harutyunyan, arrived at the scene. Senior Investigator Anushavan Sagoyan from the same platoon is leading the investigative work, and materials are being prepared regarding the incident.

The police are working to determine the identities of the driver and the injured party. A photojournalist reports that the vehicle became a heap of twisted metal, and had it not been for the iron railings on the bridge (which are common on many bridges in the country), the vehicle would have plummeted off the bridge.
