Ararat Resident Arrested for Fake Terror Threat on April 24
The National Security Service of Armenia has apprehended the individual who made a false terror threat on April 23, as reported by shamshyan.com.
According to the source, on that day, the Ministry of Emergency Situations' 9-11 operational management center received a call from an unidentified citizen who claimed that he planned to carry out a terrorist attack at the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan on April 24.
Following necessary operational-investigative measures, the NSS determined that the call was made by 22-year-old Narek M., a resident of Ararat Province. He was located and taken into custody by the NSS division in Masis and the local police department.
Materials related to the incident are being prepared in the investigative department of the Masis police. Narek M. has been released.
