VIDEO: "Bright Armenia" Faction Will Not "Throw Anyone Under the Bus" - Edmon Marukyan

The National Assembly's "Bright Armenia" faction will not "throw anyone under the bus," will not violate agreements with the authorities, and will not propose a candidate for Prime Minister in the parliament. This statement was made by the faction's leader Edmon Marukyan during a Facebook live broadcast.

According to him, since the morning when news of Nikol Pashinyan's resignation became known, various forces have made statements and calls, saying that if parliamentary forces do not take advantage of the opportunity and do not propose a new Prime Minister candidate to prevent snap elections, they are traitors and betrayers of the nation.

“We have made an agreement. We have given our word that we will not obstruct the dissolution of the parliament in order to have elections... No pressure will work on us; it is impossible to pressure us, and we will not get involved in any adventure, therefore we will not support anyone's candidacy and will not propose anyone,” Marukyan noted.

He stated that the goal of the snap parliamentary elections is to restore an atmosphere of peace, calm, solidarity, and unity.

He emphasized that their party will not support the re-election of the current authorities and will not in any way support the return of Robert Kocharian or any of the former authorities. He adds that not former, but old are all, including the current authorities.

Marukyan stressed that all other means to overcome the created political crisis have been tested over the past six months, and the only option was to go for snap elections.
