Suspect Who Fired Shots in Tumanyan Surrenders to Police, Handing Over the Firearm
On April 22, as a result of explanatory work carried out by officers of the Lori Regional Department of Police, primarily by community police officers from the Tumanyan division, 33-year-old Varsham Hovsepyan voluntarily presented himself at the Tumanyan Police Department, reports Shamshyan.com.
He is suspected of committing hooliganism during an inter-community school football tournament in Tumanyan on April 18, where he allegedly fired two shots into the air with a hunting shotgun he possessed. According to the website's information, V. Hovsepyan also handed over to police a 16 mm caliber double-barreled smoothbore hunting rifle registered in the name of his deceased grandfather.
