Artsakh Police Reveal Details About Gunfire at Residential Home in Stepanakert
Gunfire from a small-caliber weapon has reportedly been directed at a residential home in Stepanakert, allegedly by Azerbaijanis, on the afternoon of April 20. In an interview with Armenpress, Hunan Tadevosyan, the head of the information and public relations department of the Artsakh Ministry of Internal Affairs, provided details about the incident, stating that the police received an alert from a resident of a house in the Haikavan neighborhood around 3:00 PM.
“Officers from the police criminal department arrived at the scene. It was established that shots were fired from a small-caliber weapon, which resulted in damage to the roof of the residential building. One bullet was found at the scene. Fortunately, there were no injuries. Children were present in the house at the time,” Tadevosyan elaborated. He noted that appropriate investigations are underway to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
Investigations are being conducted to determine whether it is possible to target a residential house in Stepanakert from Shushi using a small-caliber weapon. According to him, the police did not receive any reports regarding gunfire directed at the settlements of Shosh and Mkhitarashen. “Nevertheless, considering that such information has been disseminated, appropriate investigations are also being carried out in that direction,” Tadevosyan added.
