Goris Deputy Mayor is a Person with a Disability and a Father of Five Minor Children
The deputy mayor of Goris, Menua Hovhannisyan, is facing serious allegations following an incident yesterday morning. His legal representative, David Karapetyan, reported to ‘Pastinfo’ that at 7:15 AM, his client was summoned to a police department and taken to Yerevan in what he described as a 'mask show.'
'They take a person, humbling him, and take him to the Yerevan city department, where they elevate him to the third floor and throw him to the ground. He did not see who was there,' said the lawyer, revealing that degrading treatment had been shown to his client, with officers putting their feet on his head and mocking him by asking, 'Were you playing hero? Go on,' followed by dragging him from one wall to another.
Karapetyan also noted that Hovhannisyan sustained injuries to his face, and insulting remarks were made during the encounter, all of which was recorded.
According to Iravban.net, Menua Hovhannisyan is a person with a second-degree disability and a father of five minor children. His youngest child was born about a month ago.
