Protesters Throw Eggs at Prosecutor's Office as Tensions Escalate
In support of the arrested residents of Siunik, participants of the protest threw eggs at the Prosecutor's Office building, with some hitting the police officers blocking the entrance.
The protesters demand the release of several community leaders from Siunik, insisting that they were illegally detained.
It is worth noting that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who visited the Siunik province under tight security conditions, was met with insults and abuse from residents in various towns yesterday. The people of Siunik called for him to leave the area.
Residents of Kapan blocked the roads leading into the city, preventing Pashinyan from entering Kapan at all. He was accompanied by a significant number of police officers, members of the NSS's 'Alpha' unit, and numerous security personnel.
Pashinyan walked through the streets with a large security detail.
Later, it was reported that a criminal case had been launched and several citizens had been detained, including the head of the Meghri community.
