870 New Cases of Coronavirus and 24 Deaths Confirmed in Armenia

As of April 17, Armenia has reported 870 new cases of coronavirus infection, bringing the total number of infected individuals to 207,973.

According to the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Republic of Armenia, 24 citizens died from COVID-19 in one day, raising the death toll to 3,859.

Additionally, within a single day, there were 9 more deaths among patients infected with the coronavirus due to other diseases. As of April 17, the total number of deaths in these circumstances has reached 978. Overall, 33 individuals died that day, bringing the total number of deaths to 4,837.

In one day, 1,056 people recovered from the virus, with the total number of recoveries now at 187,256. Currently, there are 15,880 active cases, which is a decrease of 219 from the previous day.

A total of 5,290 tests were conducted in one day, and to date, 931,583 tests have been carried out.
