Major Fire at 'Heratsi' Hospital No. 1: 11 Patients Evacuated, Injuries Reported

On April 16, at 06:24 AM, the National Crisis Management Center received an alert reporting a fire at the 'Heratsi' Hospital Complex No. 1 located on Abovyan Street in Yerevan.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia reported that a call of complexity level '2' prompted the dispatch of six firefighting units from the Fire and Rescue Department of Yerevan, along with a duty group from the Fire Suppression and Rescue Operations Organizing Department to the scene.

It was discovered that the fire had originated in one of the patient rooms on the second floor of the hospital.

The fire was contained by 06:34 AM and extinguished by 06:43 AM. Two mattresses (around 2 square meters) and two closets were partially burned. Two individuals sustained injuries: patient S.A. (born in 1980) and doctor M.H.

Before the arrival of rescue teams, 11 patients were evacuated by the local personnel.
