The Victims of the Accident Near Aramus Village Were Contract Soldiers: Ministry of Defense

On April 15, at around 02:00, soldiers from military unit N were involved in a traffic accident while conducting a march near Aramus village in the Kotayk region. As a result of the accident, contract soldiers Senior Sergeant Aram Vahan Badalyan (born in 1988, Yerevan Military Unit 1) and Junior Sergeant Levon Samvel Mkrtumyan (born in 1992, Tavush Military Unit) died on the spot.

An investigation is underway. The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia shares the heavy sorrow of the loss and extends its condolences to the families, relatives, and colleagues of Aram Badalyan and Levon Mkrtumyan.

One injured soldier has been admitted for inpatient treatment at the Central Clinical Military Hospital of the Ministry of Defense, and his condition is assessed as serious. The other soldiers returned to their service after undergoing medical examinations at the Ministry of Defense's health unit.
