Driver Who Struck 5 Citizens Found

In the Aramus-Mayakovski inter-village road of Kotayk Province, at approximately 2:00 AM on April 15, a driver of a 'Mercedes' vehicle struck five citizens. This was reported by the Armenian Police.

‘The driver fled the scene of the accident. As a result of the collision, two citizens—28-year-old Levon Mkrtumyan and 32-year-old Aram Badalyan—died at the scene, while three others were hospitalized with injuries,’ the police stated.

As a result of the measures taken, the 33-year-old driver of the 'Mercedes' and his passenger were located and apprehended along with the vehicle at 4:30 AM on the same day, and were taken to the Kotayk Division of the police. An investigation is underway.
