VIDEO: Media Discredits Parents in Every Way, Says PM's Assistant to Journalists
When parents organize beautiful events, no media outlet comes to cover them, but when they organize protests, everyone arrives to cover and discredit them. This was stated by Gagik Isakhanyan, the assistant to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, during an interview with journalists amid a protest by relatives of missing servicemen and captives near the Government.
In response to a question about why they are unwilling to have an open discussion with the relatives of the missing and captured individuals in the presence of the media, he noted, “Open discussions have mostly yielded bad results so far; media outlets have approached the issue subjectively and have discredited parents in every way.”
When asked why journalists cover everything, he responded that the media is not objective.
To the question of what a beautiful event looks like in this context, the Prime Minister’s assistant replied, “When there is a march to Yerablur.” When asked if he considers that beautiful, he replied, “Of course.”
