The World's Youngest Billionaire is 18 Years Old with a $3.3 Billion Fortune
According to the prestigious American magazine Forbes, the youngest billionaire in the world in 2021 is 18-year-old Kevin David Lehmann. He inherited a 50% stake in the German company Drogerie Markt, which has led to his fortune being estimated at $3.3 billion, as reported by Luxury Launches.
It is noted that the 18-year-old teenager received his inheritance from his father when he was just 14 years old. However, Kevin was not allowed to manage those financial resources until he came of age. He has now officially inherited the 50% shares in the German company Drogerie Markt.
Founded in 1974, Drogerie Markt is now Germany's leading drugstore chain. According to the website's data, the company operates more than 2,000 drugstores.
Forbes reports that both father and son do not actively participate in the management of the company and lead a private lifestyle.
In the ranking of the world's youngest billionaires for 2021, the second place is occupied by 24-year-old Chinese Wang Zelong, whose fortune is estimated at $1.5 billion. The third and fourth places are shared by Norwegian sisters Alexandra, 24, and Katharina, 25, each with a fortune of $1.4 billion. The sisters are owners of the Ferd family company.
