During Samvel Babayan's 5-6 Months in Office, the State has Suffered Damage of 100-120 Million Drams in Artsakh

It turns out that the tenure of Samvel Babayan as the Secretary of the Security Council of Artsakh has had repercussions, in addition to the tragic events of the wartime period. According to information from the ‘Pats’ newspaper, there is currently a criminal case launched regarding the loss or destruction of property amounting to 100-120 million drams.

According to our Artsakh sources, during Babayan's 5-6 months in office, significant damage has been inflicted on the state, and the outcome of this criminal case largely depends on the political will of the Armenian authorities.

As is known, Samvel Babayan currently resides in Armenia and is engaged in tasks related to establishing a political force, with the aim of gathering a minimum number of votes to enter the parliament and support Nikol Pashinyan, either through forming a coalition or by acting as the opposition.

Due to this, the authorities are delaying the criminal cases initiated against him, including those regarding the damage inflicted on the state during his tenure. According to our sources in Artsakh, the only issue for the Armenian authorities is the new Prosecutor General of Artsakh, who does not belong to any political team and shows independence, trying to remain aloof from political pressures.
