Drug Transfer Hidden in Sugar Prevented at Armavir Penitentiary

On April 8, 2021, around 17:55, the staff of the Armavir Penitentiary of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, acting on operational intelligence, uncovered drugs resembling methamphetamine and pregabalin (lyrica) hidden in a package of 1 kg of sugar brought by a citizen for the inmate K. O.

This information was reported by the public relations department of the Armenian Ministry of Justice's penitentiary service. Materials are being prepared regarding the incident, and a forensic chemical examination has been appointed.
