37-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies Days After Being Struck by Rock on Tbilisi Highway

On April 8, a 37-year-old resident of Yerevan, Edward Khachatryan, passed away at Yerevan's Hospital No. 1. According to Shamshyan.com, he had been hospitalized since April 2.

On that day, around 1:00 PM, he lost control of his "Stels Benelli" AC 150 motorcycle near the address Tbilisi Highway 26/5 under still unknown circumstances. Traffic police officers arrived at the scene.

On April 8, a criminal case was initiated and transferred to the Road Traffic Crimes Investigation Division of the Investigative Committee of Armenia in Yerevan. According to website reports, the cause of the motorcycle accident was due to a rock striking Khachatryan while he was riding the motorcycle in accordance with safety regulations, which caused him to lose control and subsequently overturn.
