Unknown Individuals Steal "Easy Pay" Payment Terminals from "Nor Zovk" Supermarkets

On April 7, incidents of theft occurred at the "Nor Zovk" supermarkets operating in Yerevan. According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, around 3:00 AM, the alarm system of the "Nor Zovk" supermarket on Babajanyan Street was triggered. Police operatives from the Malatia division arrived at the scene and discovered that at approximately 2:55 AM on the same day, unknown individuals had opened the roller shutters of the supermarket using technical means and stolen an "Easy Pay" payment terminal from there.

Officers from the criminal investigation department of the Malatia police found the stolen payment terminal in a damaged and looted state on Central 2nd Street in Argavand village. The Malatia police have opened an investigation into this incident.

On the same day, at 5:30 AM, a resident of Yerevan, Derenik Hunanian, reported to the Shengavit police station that at around 12:05 AM, an unknown person or persons had stolen an "Easy Pay" payment terminal from the "Nor Zovk" supermarket located at 54/49 Arshakunyats Avenue by using technical means to open the door. The Shengavit police have also initiated a file regarding this theft.

Note: A suspect or accused individual is considered innocent until proven guilty under the rules established by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia, based on a legally binding court ruling.
