Russian Peacekeepers' Activities Are Very Effective: Prime Minister to Artsakh President
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Artsakh Republic President Arayik Harutyunyan at the government offices.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan: Your Excellency Mr. President, I am glad to see you. We have been working on a daily basis to restore normal life in Artsakh since the end of the 44-day war, and I can state that during this time we have implemented extensive programs together. We have already carried out joint projects worth several dozen billion drams, and it is also very important that we made a decision regarding the implementation of a housing and infrastructure project worth 110 billion drams in Artsakh with the funds of the Armenian General Benevolent Union.
In essence, if this project is realized over three years, it will be comparable, if not slightly more, to all the projects implemented in Artsakh so far.
It is also a good opportunity to share with you the results and impressions from my visit to Moscow. Naturally, the issue of Artsakh and the situation surrounding it was one of the most important points in our discussions with the President of Russia, and I consider it very important to share the content of those discussions with you.
President Arayik Harutyunyan: Thank you, Mr. Prime Minister. Your Excellency, I would like to emphasize, repeat, and remind you that yes, we have been working daily not only during the war but also in the post-war period, in this difficult social situation. We have been able to not only address the initial crucial social projects but also to clearly outline our tasks for the future.
In this regard, I note that I am satisfied with what we have discussed together, which is already being documented and implemented in parallel. I would also like to emphasize our future actions in the security and political arenas, especially regarding the status of Artsakh, where our actions must be not only coordinated but also go along the same path.
In this context, we appreciate your visit to Moscow and the role of the Russian Federation here, especially the role of the President of Russia in establishing peace and maintaining calm in the post-war period in Artsakh is invaluable.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan: It is also important to state that the Russian peacekeepers are today the main actors in ensuring security and stability. In this respect, the activities of the peacekeepers must be recorded as very effective, and we must hope, and I am convinced, that they will continue with the same effectiveness.
