Putin and Aliyev Discuss Situation in Nagorno-Karabakh

Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. The leaders discussed the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, considering the Armenian-Russian negotiations held on April 7. This information was reported by RIA Novosti, citing a statement from the Kremlin's press service.

"The discussion continued regarding the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh and the further stabilization based on the statements of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia from November 9, 2020, and January 11, 2021. In particular, substantive observations were made on issues of peace, security, and socio-economic development in the region, as well as the progress of restoring transport communications. At the same time, the results of the high-level Russian-Armenian negotiations conducted in Moscow on April 7 were taken into account," the statement said.
