Prisoners of War Transfer Issue is Closed, We Have Demonstrated Our Responsibility in This Matter: Bayramov

The issue of the transfer of prisoners of war has been resolved and is closed, stated Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. According to Minval.az, Bayramov made this statement during a press conference following a meeting with the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

“We have demonstrated our responsibility in this matter; we have transferred more than 70 prisoners of war to Armenia,” said the Azerbaijani minister.

He noted that, in accordance with the joint statement of November 9, all individuals captured during combat operations have been handed over to the Armenian side. “Those who were detained later during anti-terror operations cannot be considered prisoners of war,” Bayramov emphasized.
