I Never Go Into A Mental Breakdown When Robert Sedrakich Says, 'I Will Win': Andranik Kocharyan
Today, the Chairman of the National Assembly's Defense and Security Committee, Andranik Kocharyan, stated in the National Assembly that their power has come for democratic mechanisms. “Do you remember the time when there were more protesters in front of the National Assembly than actual deputies? Today they are gone, vanished into thin air, but they miss it. They say, ‘How can we live without power? The money is running out’,” he remarked.
In response to the question of whether Robert Kocharyan poses a threat to their power, since every time Kocharyan says, ‘I will win, I will bear [the burden],’ it is said that representatives of your government are going into a mental breakdown, he replied, “I never go into a mental breakdown when Robert Sedrakich says, ‘I will bear.’ What he means by that is known to him, but consider that our people have eternally rejected him. There is no transition from a state of being rejected to a state of bearing.”
When it was pointed out that the people rejected Serzh Sargsyan and not Robert Kocharyan, Andranik Kocharyan responded, “What are you saying? They rejected both.”
Andranik Kocharyan declared that when the people grant them a mandate, they will return what has been plundered and invest it in the army, among other things. He also spoke about the former Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan's new apartment in the Vahagni district. “Until now, Seyran Ohanyan has been unable to respond to the allegations associated with his palatial residence in the Vahagni district.”
When reporters reminded that Seyran Ohanyan had provided clarifications, saying he was renting in the Vahagni district, Andranik Kocharyan replied that the issue is not at all about that apartment. “We are talking about the apartment being built in the Vahagni district. Yes, he may be residing somewhere on rent, but what is being built cannot be denied, because it is a fact. Let them say, ‘It’s not our house; it belongs to Paul.’ Let’s go see why Paul’s house is being constructed according to Seyran Ohanyan's wishes and tastes and, of course, his wife’s.”
